FAQs
How long can we store transcripts, etc. in the
repository?
As long as your firm is taking depositions with Alderson or as instructed otherwise,
we will maintain the repository for you.
Can I schedule a court reporter from overseas?
Alderson specializes in finding you the best qualified reporter anywhere your case
takes you.
Is there a fee to store information in the repository,
monthly maintenance charges, or set up costs?
No. Alderson’s online repository and joint calendar system are free of charge for
clients taking depositions
through Alderson.
Do I need software to use Alderson Online?
No. Alderson online is 100% web-based. All you need is access to the Internet, your
password and an Alderson-supplied user ID.
Do you back up information?
Absolutely. Alderson maintains three levels of backup. First, the website is hosted
away from Alderson’s headquarters to ensure continuity of service. Second, our repository
is replicated to our Washington, DC office. Finally, the standard tape backup is removed
from the office.
When can I expect your reporter to arrive?
Alderson’s reporters arrive on site 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of
your proceeding.
When can I expect your videographer to arrive?
Alderson’s videographers arrive on site 60 minutes before the scheduled start time of
your proceeding. It is particularly important to have a cell phone or direct dial
number provided to the videographer when your proceeding is scheduled for an early
morning start. There are times when our videographers arrive at the deposition location
and cannot access the facility because the firm/company has not yet opened.
